Aragon tomorrow. I also bought an OPI crystal nail file, a couple OPI mini Envys, Poshe's fast drying top coat, and a Seche ridge-filling base.
Out of everything, the only thing i am slightly disappointed with is OPI's Here again... Aragon tomorrow. It is just way too dark :( It reminds me of one of my christmas dresses that I had as a little girl in which i looked goth; it was supposed to be dark green velvet but it just looked black. meh. I'll keep it, but maybe, in order to bring out the green, i need to wait until we have some sunlight.
My friend bridgette also bought me China Glaze Medallion from Sally's. It was on sale! yay :)
wow, holy crap do i have a lot of nail polish. i need to slow down. but i just love shiny things!
I should also put in good word for transdesign, because honestly, with the way their check out system can be, i thought they would steal my credit card number. but nope, they are 100% legit, even if you do get some kind of security certificate error when cashing out. i ordered everything on January 12 and UPS was knocking on my door on the 13th! they are very fast to put the order together and have it shipped in 3 days. i'm highly imressed with that, and to top it off they have some of the cheapest prices on polishes right now! i love transdesign! :)

I love Hobby Lobby!!!

my recent excursion from the hobby lobby produced such a great result that i just had to go back for more! so it did. i'm really sorry to the hobby lobby employee who had to clean up the toilet i destroyed. :(
well i felt a lot better so we cashed out and she brought me home. i really did feel better! then zomg, worst night ever. i took a shower and i felt another wave of nausea and thats when all the really bad shit started happening. i was so sick i texted my boyfriend if he could get off work early. around 11:30 at night he ended up driving my delirious self to the emergency room, where they had to pump me with 6 bags of saline through an iv needle. i only remember bits and pieces, especially after they gave me a dose of morphine, but they really gave me every single anti nausea med they had. and i wouldn't stop puking. damn stomach.
i ended up staying about 24 hours, in which i realized that they had written me a prescription for anti nausea pills that were $180 (!!!!!) each. i'm feeling better now, i can eat rice and pastas, but omg. my abs are cramped up so much from spasming, my neck and back are sore from the awful hospital beds, and my arms make me look like a junkie from all the places they poked me. not to mention my headache.
just to make a point of how sick i was, here is the state of my nails. yeah. haven't managed the energy to paint them. maybe i will later!

A spark of creativity (maybe)

So my friend bridgette had this totally cool piece at her house. she had filled a glass vase with moss and tiny led christmas lights and it made a wonderful glowing.. awesome thing! i'm still sick so my head really can't come up with describing words right now.

anyway, i thought it was so cool that i'd try my own, adding some seashells that jesse and i picked up along the beaches in florida over christmas. i had the best time ever picking out stuff at the hobby lobby. got my vase, moss, lights, and a few squiggly sticks to poke out of the top. this is the result! i love it! i love nature-y glow-y twisty things. i am a slave to the sparklies. here's the slideshow.

I guess i got on a creative/decorating kick, so i decided to add some origami butterflies and cranes to the strands of butterfly sequins already dangling over the futon. i made 21 of them! i'm proud of myself, i've never made butterflies or cranes before.

Plans

I realize I haven't written here for a long time (nearly a year...) so I should probably update my plans.
I've completely changed my major in college. I went from hoping to get into the College of Music here at MSU to being a German major. I'm taking German, with 2 cognates: Polish and mid/eastern European history. What do I expect to gain out of taking this? At first I didn't know. But I began looking around for career options and noticed that the UN was coming to MSU, and more importantly, they wanted to speak with students of less commonly taught languges (Polish). So I went, and I learned a lot. First, it is REALLY competitive to get a job with the UN (duh), second, they really like for you to have 2 UN languages + a 3rd language under your belt, third it's going to take a lot of international work experience and grad school to get a job with them. A few UN languages are English, Arabic, Chinese and Russian. German and Polish are not UN languages. :(
So then I started planning to change from Polish to Russian, but a few days ago I figured that my schedule was going to be already so jam packed that I need to just fill my cognate requirement with Polish and worry about Russian in graduate school. Also, Russian and Polish are very similar (when spoken). My aunt speaks Russian and she watched one of my Polish films and she could understand quite a bit of it! So my Polish studies, although it will only be for 3 semesters, will help me to eventually learn Russian.
I'm planning to study abroad for a year in my senior year. It's going to be a costly endeavor, but I really need the experience of living abroad, immersed in the language, to really get a grip on it. The program MSU currently offers is the academic year in Freiburg. I'm going to see if I can live off campus in an apartment so my boyfriend Jesse can come with me as well and stay with me. He has family over in Denmark so hopefully we are going to go visit them as well. And then go to Norway where the vikings are!! :D
I've been planning my schedule out, and there's no way around it: I'm going to have to spend at least 1 semester as a 5th year senior. :( But that's ok because originally I wanted to be in music education, which is a 5 year program.

Those are my long term goals. As far as short term, well. I'd really like to paint my apartment. As long as I paint it with the colors that the apartment company has listed, I won't have to paint over it when I move out. The apartment that my boyfriend and I are going to move into in July/August we cannot paint. Even if we paint over it when we move out. Bummer. But! it's over 900 sq feet and it has a balcony and a pool and it is outside of East Lansing so we will really enjoy the space and atmosphere of this new apartment. I'm really looking forward to it.

Tis the season...

To make earrings for your mom for Christmas! is pretty obvious because i mean, i'm going to a party tonight. totally all of my time taken up. ;)

im going to stef's birfcake party tonight at the barrel. pretty sweet. im going to get a greasy burger and a bucket of friez plx :) will be fun

alright so i decided that i am going to grow my hair out. i also decided that i need... NEED.. a hair curler. but not for curls like miss scarlet in gone with the wind, just like waves or something. soooooo i also need heat protection for my hair and junk. but i will still stick to my 99 cent shampoo ftw.
i bought makeup. like kind of a lot of makeup. but thats ok because all of it was like $20 marked down from $200 lol, or like $3 marked down from $50. i tried out my o-glow which is blush but its a gel and it comes out clear and once it hits your skin it turns piiiiiiiiiink! pinkpinkpink, and ilove it because it doesnt look all powdery like powder blush. but then i've never actually had expensive blush before (retail value = $26 :S) that blush came with a kit with like eyebrow powder and stuff to fill them in, i've never had that kind of stuff before either. i also bought some eyeshadow which i LOVE but have not put on my eyes yet, it is by napoleon perdis, again like retail value 20-30 bucks i think but i got it for $5 \o/ i also got some toofaced shadow insurance which i just put on and will see how it fares through the night. and over that i put some of my smashbox trio powder which comes in like mauve, white and brown. looks pretty nice, and it is glittery and i <3 glitter. in that kit i also got this tinter stuff (??) which i mean i dont really know what it is for but i just put it on my cheeks and stuff, makes them glittery and glowey or something. idk. and i got some lip balm by napoleon perdis too, and it smells like vanilla jellybeans yumm but tastes like plastic. but it looks nice, its a gloss.

all ihave time for right now :) will have fun at the party wee
plans

while i stayed in vermont, i had a lot of time to think about what i wanted to do after i graduate college. i still can't see myself directing a band, so a band teacher is still out of the question.
my dad spoke to me and told me that if i wanted to, we could eventually build a smaller house up at my grandma's property, because she will soon be living somewhere else, where she get the proper care that she needs for her current state of health. i told him that i'd think about it. so i did, i thought about what i would do, what i could invision myself doing up there.
now i'm thinking that i would like to be some kind of elementary/highschool teacher to teach in the area and live in the house that we can build up there. i would teach private music lessons. if i wanted to, i could teach private lessons after school at the school that i taught in. in the house, i want a chamber like room, like 15-20 feet high and wood floors, nothing to dull the sound. that would be the room that i practice in/teach lessons. it would be hard to heat, but maybe i could just insulate it really really well.
i would like to do something with alternative power up there. there are places to do solar, it's very windy there especially in winter so i could invest in a wind turbine (and get an electric heater for the chamber room to heat with the free electricity from the turbine!), and even hydro, although that seems more complicated and we'd have to run a line for about 400 feet at least.
i want to have a big garden. i want to have a greenhouse to grow my own food in during winter. i want to be more self sustained, because i think that with the way the world is heading, people are going to turn to the alternative forms of energy. in fact, they will have to. gas will never go down again, which means that food/transportation/building supplies/everything is just going to go up.
up there on the farm, its kind of like a haven from all of that, or at least it blocks some of it out. there's land to grow on, there's tractors and tedders/rakes/plows/you name it to do whatever you want with the tractor, there's sources of energy that are clean, and there are other farms within 2 miles. if i ever needed to buy half a cow, i'd just drive down the road. the best thing too, is that i'm already learning how to manage a farm from working at moore's during my breaks.
and there are opportunities for music gigs there too. pentangle is just down in the village, rutland has musicals once in a while, hanover has many shows, and of course there's burlington which for whatever reason, has become a major center for jazz.
msu has so many classes that i want to take, it's ridiculous. there are african drumming classes, farm management classes, classes to learn any instrument you wanted to, tons of foreign languages, art classes in any medium you'd want. there is so much i want to learn, and i'm anxious as hell to start school. in my first year i want to take something in agriculture, learn a new instrument, take classes in drawing and watercolor, and that african music class sounds seriously cool, and also music theory with gordon sly. i've heard he's like the king of theory. awesome.
i pick out my classes in a week, on the 1st. it will be awesome.<div i really do hope i can play like John McMurtery. i have the sheet music to this piece, so maybe tonight when i practice i'll give it a shot. lately i've been playing an anderson etude (i have no idea which one) which is mostly based on 16th note runs that go into minor melodic/harmonic scales. i've gotten about halfway through it where i call it quits before it goes into double sharps and flats, so i'm just working on the easier (to read) part right now.

but that air piece, that is really tempting to just throw everything else down and say, you know what, screw it i'm going to play that and only that. because truly, if i started that piece now i think i'd just only play that. i attempted it about a year ago but got through the first line only because i'd never had a recording of it. the time changes and just even the style of it are ridiculous, it incorporates sounds that i can produce on my flute that i dont even know the name of. as i said, ridiculous. this sheet music isn't from the same takemitsu song, but it's the same style. except air is much more... compact.<img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: bad anyway so i hate that junk.

i slept until 1;30 today, it was awesome. one girl at the bagel shop called me to see if i could work for her but i said no because um, saturday is my only day off this week and if i worked today then by tues/wednesday i would have been working like 10 days in a row :\ so isaid no. and the house suckass too. hey i have an idea! you know that might as well go tanning, then decided that i might as well kill time (and NOT buy anything even though i put money in the bank!) and go into urban outfitters. oh man that place i just cant resist sometimes. so i ended up buying 2 day glow pink belts, one for my friend ellie whos birfcake is coming up faster than i know, and one for me so we can match. then i was all 'i might as well go into the sale secion' and i found all of these bed spreads for $10 \o/ so i picked out two of my favorite ones, which match really well actually, and bought them. they have a few minor imperfections on them but nothing that is really noticeable. they are soooo pretty i love the colors. perfect for summer and cheering up a room i think<img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: type='text'>job

I have a job hooray. The people are pretty nice there but i get paid under the vermont minimum wage. i think minimum wage here is 6.95 or something. i actually started working there on my birthday. but i get a 50% discount on food there so i eat really well now, not much mac+cheese from the box.
so today I spent my birthday money. i went and bought 3 books at barnes and noble, two were music theory books (with cds for ear training!! w00t i want to do ear training!!) and a book about the importance of the music teacher, which should be interesting. so after i went to barnes and noble (i made sure to spend the majority of money on stuff that is useful :p) i went to american apparel and wandered around for a while and didn't really want anything, so i went next door to urban outfitters and went to their sales rack and found a shirt that had the print of this sweatshirt that i wanted but it was on sale and looks awesome on me. as soon as i tried it on it looked like something that i had always had, it fit that well. so then i picked up some sunglasses that are mostly grey but have a pink stripe at the top and are awesome. so i decided my picture in them needed some l33t photoshipping skillz work done to it.<img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; I definately didnt like how the laughing gas made me feel. i wasnt queasy or anything but i felt weird and i don't like that. its like i couldnt really feel pain normally. i kind of sensed when they put the iv in my arm, but it was tingly like when your foot goes to sleep. i didnt even know that that was what was going on until they told me. this is me when i got home from the operation. i was quite drugged and had frozen bags of peas tied to my head with the scarf :)

anyways, i woke up after it and felt ok. my chin and my bottom lip were VERY numb (i had absolutely no feeling in them whatsoever) and they stayed numb until probably 10pm (the operation started around 8:30 am). So i got up with a little help from the nurse out of the chair that was fully reclined. I didnt even notice if I was in the same room or not. I got to the car just fine walking on my own. I felt fine actually, no pain. My jaw was kind of stiff though which wasnt bad. They said i could start playing my flute again this thursday which was exciting.

I got home and played the game i play. oh that reminds me, my computer broke last week. i think it was monday. I came home and it just wouldnt turn on. I've had this problem with it several times before, so i figured it was time to buy a new one. My new one is expected to arrive on thursday. it is very nice, i'll put a picture of the stats here. tomorrow i think i'm going to go to see harry potter 5 with my friend, ellie. i'll see how i feel but i definately could see it today. but then i'm drugged up on lots of stuff; i take 4 antibiotic pills a day, spread out on breakfast, lunch, dinner, before bed; an antiseptic mouthwash after breakfast and dinner; 4 ibeuprofen pills every so often, and 1 oxycodone pill every 4 hours. you could say i'm a little drugged. i dont like how the oxycodone makes me feel but its better than the pain.

thursday is also when ellie is going to touch up the highlights she put in my hair a couple months ago. and then on friday i get a call from tristan, which i'm really looking forward to.

yesterday i ate only baby food and jello, so i definately dug into the chicken broth, tiny circle noodles, parmesean cheese and garlic today. the noodles were small enough so that i could just swallow them whole, and the soup was such a good change in taste. yum. i am still excited to try my strawberry dacqueri jello though. the pina colada jello was really good, mmm :)

my new computer's specs:

<img hatched maybe tuesday or wednesday a week ago and they were quite ugly i must say. they were like withered old men. theyw ere orange with grey fuzz. yesterday the stupid cat at work found the birds nest and we got her off the nest before she could do much damage. damn cat. i could have strangled it. we hung the birds up from a high pole in the greenhouse in a tray and made sure the mother bird found it, which she did.

I went to my grandmas with my dad today. he said we'd be gone for 2 hours. we left at 11:30 and god damnit we came back at 7:30. as much as i like gardening and eating raspberries and gathering seeds, i cant stand being around my grandma that much. i already have thursday as a day when i waste a bunch of time. on thursdays i go to my flute lesson and then my mom and i go shopping. which she promises will only take a couple of hours but we always spend at least 8 hours out of the house. i got poppy seeds and bleeding heart and daffodil and columbine seeds today. not really all that exciting but it was something to do.

i should draw him a picture or something. i'll have to do that tomorrow. or print a picture out of us that he hasnt seen or something. i dont know. i'm tired. i've forgotten what i've done since the last blog entry or i would have written more :)
i put a new teacher. my friend ellie and i had been turning in our math homework in early because we would do it so fast that we could get it done in class, and we'd tell the teacher that we were turning it in early. well she doesnt grade stuff as it comes in, she grades stuff all in one chunk, so we got back about 5 assignments most of which were 4/5 or 2/5 on some. i asked her why i had a 2/5 on mine because someone else who had done the exact same thing (but she had gotten the answers wrong, mine were all right) had gotten a 4/5. so the teacher goes "well i guess i'll give you a 4/5" as if it was a privelege for turning something in early and all correct and getting an 80%. i then asked her stupid butt why i still got an 80 when everything was correct. she said that i was supposed to put checks by all the ones i got right. i asked her why since it wasnt a big deal, that it counted for 20% of my grade (i was now furious) she said that how was she supposed to know which ones were right if they didnt have a check by them? i was fuming. livid isnt the word, its like a steam engine with a stop in the top where the steam comes out and on full throttle. what an asshole. you dont know which ones are right? isnt that your job? arent YOU supposed to grade my paper not me? what the fuck. i fucking hate that goddamn class and i'll be damned if i get a bad grade in it because i didnt put checks by my right answers. what ever happened to the frase "if nothings wrong with it, leave it alone"? i seriously dont know, i hate that class. i've demonstrated that i know the material, i get it done on time, not to mention EARLY, why the hell am i being punished?
fuck that class
<img width='1' height='1' it's pretty cool. i work in a greenhouse transplanting plants after school (i rhymed). after work i get to play with the kitty that hangs around, she's such a pain, but she's cute. so i worked wednesday and friday and my back hurts but i'll get used to it and probably next week it won't hurt. and now that i'm making money i dont feel bad about spending money, yay!

yesterday, since i had made money, i went with my mom and my friend ellie after my flute lesson to this bead shop called gemstar. the place is awesome, i had been there once before. i was trying to find something to make for my art teacher to make as a gift, so i bought a 16" strand of freshwater pearls for $2.50, a 12" (or so) strand of turquoise i think 8mm beads, some matte black rondelle things, and some dyed pink probably quartz. then i got some end thingies that are like cones so that it makes the bracelet/necklace look nice. and i bought 2 red coral beads as a focus bead type of thing. i liked the red and turquoise together with the black matte. i ended up making 4 bracelets and i put the strand of pearls on a necklace, which isnt done yet but i can wear it as it is (they're so cool i think ^^).
<img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" volunteered at this community... thing. i was supposedly in charge from 3-5 for selling food produced from ingredients from local farms that would be possible to make in the cafeteria at school. but i got there and there were already 3 people signed up for that time, and about 5 other people came in and said they were signed up for that time too, so they left. by 3, no one else wanted to go to the community thing so there wasnt anyone around, so we packed up early.

the only snow around town is pretty much in my yard, which is pretty cool. i've been meaning to slide down the huge pile and today i got around to it. the snow is really nice because it felt like it was 100 outside today, and i went out and sat on it for maybe a half hour or so with my friend after sliding down it on an old jacket. then we walked to her house and did the usual high school girl bitching about her outfit was ugly, his way of talking is stupid. then i got my hair done up in a pony tail (which is no easy feat considering that it's pretty short) and put on clip on danglish earrings and walked down to a local mexican place and got hot green salsa and chips =)
by that time it was pretty late so i figured i'd go home and get some pancakes for dinner (although dinner was stroganoff which is better). so we wandered slowly back in the general area of my house, pumped up her bike tires, and off she went to another friend's house to sleep over. yay fun day \o/

<img width='1' height='1' Done, that's my life. I don't have one. But I'm alive.

I play a game called Eternal Lands, which is a free MMORPG. I've been in the guild CEL for about 1.5 years, and the guild is awesome. So it fits me. I also play the flute. I got into Vermont Allstate Band this year. I'm moving to East Lansing, MI in August in an apartment.
